Going on a Halloween candy hunt is always fun for the younger children. You can easily buy some Halloween treat bags or plastic pumpkins (the small size), fill them with candy and money and hide them. In my opinion one of the best places is the garden, which should be well lit. Next give each child a trick-or-treatbag to hunt candy. Another good twist on the rules is to offer them a prize for the one that finds the most candy.

Doing a mouse fishing compitition is another fun activity for the slighly older children. Create fishing poles with a stick and string. Then attach a mouse and lay some mouse traps on the floor. Let the kids take turns trying to catch their mouse in the mouse traps. Make sure you are there to supervise the kids so that they do not get too close to the traps.

Another great kids Halloween party game is getting the kids to toss spooky Halloween items into plastic pumpkins. All you need is a couple large pumpkins placed at different distances. Give the children Halloween items like plastic spiders, rats, snakes, eyeballs and severed fingers to toss into the pumpkin. Each pumpkin is one item.
