With Halloween rushing to meet us I guess the main question is going to be what are the largest Halloween Costumes for 2009? If we are on the lookout for the smash for this year then we're going to have to annul homemade or do it yourself Halloween costumes as obviously they're totally unique to the individual so are not exactly going to be the largest
of the year. So lets take a look at the prefessional end of the market and figure out what the huge manufacturers are pinning their hopes on.

Personally I suspect the sad early demise of Michael Jackson this summer is going to be a massive catalyst for fans of the pop legend to pay their respects by dressing up as their hero this year. For the makers this is a godsend as they already have a number of costumes available and unlike when there's a big smash film, they won't have to spend money and time designing a new costume, though we will have to be patient and see. As of now there's the quintessential thriller costume, made famous by 'that' video, the Billie Jean costume, Beat It and Bad. There's also a selection of addons like wigs, gloves for example.

In the category of epic movie costumes GI Joe is definitely going to come into the reckoning. GI Joe is still one of the preferred toys in America and the fact it is now a box office hit can only boost its chances of being the #1 costume this Halloween. Boys will need to get dressed up as their favourite toy/hero and now that they've a'real' hero to look up to, you can imagine the need will be even bigger. And as for us adults, who wouldn't desire to appear like a muscle bound ninja!

Super heroes will make there normal appearance too and expect to see tons of Batman Costumes both large and small. For the grown ups there are some seriously sinister Dark Knight costumes out there although for the authentic ones you could be looking at hundreds of dollars. But it Could be worthwhile if only to electrify that young woman you have had your eye on!

Wolverine is one of the finest known personas in modern movies today. The X-Men flicks have been about for over 10 years and show no signs of finishing.
