My mother-in-law gave me this hot chocolate mix recipe 25 years ago and it's been a family favorite. I love this mix and it has been the only one I’ve used in the past 25 years.

If you're looking for simple and inexpensive — this is the one. Get an inexpensive mug at your local dollar store. Taking your baggie filled with mini, homemade or large marshmallows, your chocolate dipped spoons and large baggie filled with homemade hot chocolate mix. I then took the dipped spoons and hot chocolate and placed them inside the mug. Take the mug and tie the marshmallows to the handle.

Hot Chocolate with a kiss

This fun little gift is as tasty as it is fun. Get a baby food jar or a small jam jar and place your hot chocolate mix inside.

On top of the hot chocolate I placed crushed candy canes. Take some small marshamallows and place on top of the candy cane.

Close the lid. When using a canning jar put your kisses on top of the lid and while draping it over the sides screw on the ring. Take the ring of the jar and close the jar.

Glue the kisses on top of the lid if using a baby food jar. Take your candy canes and a pretty bow and tie it around once you have your lid on.

This one is as simple as it is delicious. Keep the jars that your food come in, after cleaning them well, or get a cute jar from your dollar store. Make your homemade hot chocolate mix jar festive by attaching a fun ribbon to the jar.
